Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce ASAP noncontested

I would like to know how long it takes to get a divorce? I do know the location of the other person. The divorce will not be contested and there are no minor children. The other person lives in CA.

Re: Divorce ASAP noncontested

Well if you have lived in PA for at least 6 months, the courts will grant a mutual consent nofault divorce after a ninety day period from the original divorce petition. However the other person needs to file a written consent.

If no written consent or efforts need to be made to locate the other party the time and costs go up.

If we can help let us know. Services available at a reasonable fee.

The question is hether your spouse will cooperate or not. If you have lived in Pennsylvania for six months you can file for a no fault divorce this is the 90 day mutual consent. Your spouse must respond by signing and returning a signed consent after the passage of 90 days from the date he is served. If you have been separated two years you could file for two year separation no fault and would not need you husbands consent. If there are no problems the divorce should not be too costly. If problems ensue it would be more costly. If you like contact me to discuss your matter and I could be more precise.
