Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce document forgery

I recently found out that ten years ago my wife forged her ex-husbands name to their final divorce papers. We have been married for 4 years now, and my questions are, am I married? Who is my wife married to?, Can she be held criminally if this is brought to light?

Wife Forged Divorce Signature

In my opinion you are still married. However, a lot of questions have to asked. I suggest that you seek local counsel to evaluate your scernio. Does the ex plan to challenge of has he ratified the divorce signing? Does he even know about it? Do you want a divorce or have your marriage declared a nullity? Too many questions and not enough information. You have the opportunity to affirm or dissaffirm your marital status. If you do not take action your marriage will be reaffirmed by your knowledge and inaction.

What a discovery. Check your state laws

As I said state law governed this matter. Probably you are married but is subject to be annulled. Your wife is married to two persons because of her actions and that is usually subject to prosecution.Get a lawyer to help you it can be done with no criminal problem.Good luck!
