filed for divorce 10-04-07. nothing done since, called prothonatary off ice said they are waiting for a waiver of notice, and a affadavit of consent what does that mean?

Well there is a series of filings that have to be done to get a no-fault divorce.
I don't know where you got the petition to start the process but if you are uncertain either you have to go to a law library and look up what is required or contact someone like myself who can review the documents and file them for you for a reasonable fee. If it is uncontested and no property or support issues we can do it without a court hearing, otherwise you will need local counsel.
