Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce without a marriage certificate

My wife left a few years ago -- with our marriage certificate.

I can't get a new one because I don't remember the date we did the legal ceremony. (Religious one was separate, and I do know that one.)

Can a law office find out the date of a wedding in Maryland?

Re: Divorce without a marriage certificate

You can do it yourself. You need to know what county the marriage took place, knowing the year and month would be helpful.

The only information you need for a divorce is the date and place of the divorce. I did have a divorce where one of the parties complained the date and place of marriage were wrong. The divorce was granted anyway.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
