Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce proceedings

Hello I am in the process of a messy divorce. My wife and I were in a 15 year contract to purchase a business from her parents. In the 6th month of the 14th year of this 'lease' my wife filed for divorce and began stating that there never was a contract. We have followed the contract point by point including paying her parents almost 600,000 for the business. I have hired a lawyer but am trying to find out information about getting an injunction against the business as she is still running it and I have not received one penny from it since mid summer 2007. I am wanting some outside advice concerning injunctions and what they involve. Thanks for any advice!

Re: Divorce proceedings

it does not sound like you want an injunction as much as a court order allowing you access to the business and the records. It would seem to me that the equitable powers of teh court would grant you access to the business and certainly consider teh business a marital asset.

Contact me if you would like to discuss this matter further.
