What rights does a spouse in a divorce have regarding property if that spouse does not have their name on the deed to the house or land?

Property owned before marriage is the property of the one owning it. If it appreciates during marriage, the appreciation is marital property. Property bought during marriage is marital property, no matter who buys it and it is subject to division in divorce.
