Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Divorce

My sister was married in pennsylvania, a few days after the wedding they moved to Indiana were her husband worked. They are both from PA. She quit her job in PA to go with him. After 9 years of marriage he has filed for divorce in Indiana. She does work and makes about $25,000 annually, he makes about $100,000 annually. She would like to move back to PA where her family is. She cannot get spousal support or alimony in Indiana. Does she have any rights if she were to move back to PA to file for alimony or spousal support?

Re: Divorce

As your sister has not lived in PA for 9 years and an action for divorce has already begun in Indiana it is unlikely that the PA courts would get involved in this matter.

I don't know Indiana law and have no opinion on your statement that she cannot get alimony in Indiana.

Good luck to her.
