What are the terms, length of time, for alimony to be sustained? From the time of separation, what is the average length of time for the divorce to be finalized?

Re: Divorce

Awards of alimony are based on a many more factors than you list. However, before the court would order alimony it would look to see if equitable distribution would be adequate to put the parties to move forward in their lives.

A divorce action can take as little as 4 to 6 months or sometimes years. Without a lot more information there would be no way to know how long it would take.
