divorce with threats of jail
Have been threatened with going to jail. years ago money was used
to pay bills for home that was for an
elderly person in nursing home. land was sold and bill paid for. if i go for a divorce and want 1/2 of property can he put me in jail for that or make me leave with nothing.

How many years ago? There is a statute of limitations for crime.
Besides if the person threatening you will benefit why couldn't he be charged with crime.
I doubt the person making the threat is a lawyer. If he was he wouldn't be for long. The mere threat of criminal action to gain advantage in a civil matter violates the rules of professional conduct.
