Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I have been divorced for about two years and living in pennsylvania with a 4 year old. My ex is residing in florida. We have joint custody but he has not paid child support and hardly ever sees our son. If I decided to relocate to arkansas do I need approval from him?

Whether he pays child support or not isn't supposed to affect custody rights. You have to notify him. If he doesn't take action promptly then he loses his right to object to the move. If he does object he has to do so in Pennsylvania and if you can show its better for the child to move the court will let you move even if he objects.

Once you get settled in Arkansas and have lived there 6 months you can file there for in Arkansas.
