Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

i am divorcing my husband because of his recurrant affairs. He has moved out 3 months ago. We have a child. We own a house and cars together. I make more money than he does however am having a hard time without his income. Due to the nature of the divorce would I be able to receive spousal support or alimony? Do these even exist?

You can file for child support. If you make more money than he does, than you would not receive spousal support or alimony.

Due to the fact that you earn more than he does, you would not be entitled to alimony or spousal support, although both do exist in Pennsylvania. You would be entitled to child support and perhaps an additional amount to assist with the mortgage, if you own a home with a high monthly mortgage payment relative to your income.

If you would like to discuss this further, please feel free to contact me.
