Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

How can I enforce my rights as a parent with joint custody?

I am 42 yr old parent of two kids aged 10&9. I am the non-custodial parent. I am very concerned about many things but any time I bring issues up with custodial parent, I am ignored. My 10 yr old needs emotional counseling and has been talking sucide. Custodial parent is doing 10 yr olds homework in order to keep the child in sports. The 9 yr old had the tell tale signs of Lyme Disease but OP refused to take child to Dr. I have e-mailed teacher and contacted Dr's but to no avail. I am fighting for my kids but seem to be hittting a brick wall with all athorities. I plan to file a petition to modify custody but am concerned about custodial parent's (and lawyer's)smear campain. Both kids want to live with me. I am disabled with very little money, no car to get them to school and back, unless they live here and OP takes weekends. OP will NOT agree to this. What can I do?? What if 10 yr old does harm to self in the meantime?

It sounds like you are doing what you can. Even if you are not sucessful in obtaining physical custody, the judge can order the other parent to take the children for treatment. I offer free consultations.
