Am I entitled to half of my husbands house?

I have been married for 5 years and I would like to know if I am entitled to half of my house in case of divorce or death, which is only in my husbands name. There was no pre-marital agreement. He refuses to add my name. We live in PA. Thanks,

A qualified no. In Pa equitable distribution is the formula for spliting marital property. A house brought into the marriage is not marital property. Only the appreciation on the house for the last five years is marital property. You would be entitled to an equitable part of that. Divorce in Pa is getting more and more complicated, so best spend an office conference fee and see an attorney.
