Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Equitable Distribution

If a divorce is granted and one spouse remarries before equitable distribution has been settled, will the fact that one spouse has remarried make a difference if the equitable distribution goes before a judge? The spouse that wants a divorce to remarry, keeps delaying settling the marital property disbute. Is there any benefit to her by doing this?

Re: Equitable Distribution

No. That is not one of the 11 factors in determining equitable distribution.

Given the current housing and stock market conditions delaying may have cost more than settling the equitable distribution earlier.

Is there some other advantage? I can't see it. Clearly she wants to move on but she is delaying closing this matter. That seems irrational to me but what do I know.
