Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Can my ex-wife get to know bank information about me?
-------------------------------
Hi! I have the following situation. I lived and worked in USA in 2006-2008. I had legal status with H1B visa. I came back to Russia in 2008 and divorced with my wife (she cheated on me). For now ex-wife lives in Russia. Also I have an account in american bank. I have some income on this account. After divorce I must pay 25% of my all income as alimony (by decision of russian court). Now I'm a good payer of alimony from my salary in Russia. But I'm not paying alimony from income on US bank account. My ex-wife knows that I have an account. She knows bank name and account number. My question is: Will american bank provide information (or approval) by request of russian court that I have an account and I have an income?
What kind of actions or documents she has to provide to get that info?

If this was a US issue, the question would be was this disclosed at the time that an alimony order was entered? If not, then you might be required to pay more in alimony. In the process, your ex-wife might seek to get information about the account from you. It would only be if you did not voluntarily comply that your wife could get a court order and order the bank to disclose. Otherwise, the bank will not just voluntarily hand over your financial information to her.
But I do not know Russian law. My advice would be to talk to your Russian divorce attorney.
I would get an attorney right away---There are many Russian American lawyers in Phila area
IF they don;t know Russian Law, it can be found out quickly, or fi youb have a Russian lawyere, speak t0 him right away
