Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

family law

I have step children and their biological mother is in prison. If something were to happen to their father, what kind of legal rights would I have?

I have been in their life for 10 years.

you should adopt them. this would give you legal and physical custody. also, they become legal dependents for tax purposes, so if you have been taking care of them financially, might as well be able to claim them on your Tax Return.
