Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

father/birth certificate

How do birth certificates work if not married to father of child. Does this mean I cannot place his name on the birth certificate since he will not be there even though I know without one doubt that he is the father.

Re: father/birth certificate

If the father doesn't consent to having his name on the birth certificate you can file for child support. When that happens the father can ask for a paternity test. If the test proves he is the father then his names on the certificate and the court order for support.
