Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My fiance gives child support to his ex and pays for half of her school, also to mention she lives in his home rent free with all utilities under his name. She is constantly asking for extra money which is always 250.00, such as money for winter clothes and summer clothes. When the child"s birthday and Christmas come along, she also request 250.00 for each occassion. That is besides the child support he gives her. When he cannot provide the extra money, she starts threatening property and bodily harm to him and me. He also states that she will send someone else to do the bodily harm and bodily injury and he would have no proof that it was her. He doesn't know what to do because he does not have a job. He works helping a friend of his with installing garage doors and doesn't want to take her to child support because he has taken care of his daughter all her life. But her mom is defrauding welfare and he does not want to have to pay any money back that she has gotten. He has provided for his child all her life. He does not want to resort to violence if she starts her threats. This is taking a toll on him and his life.

I would suggest your finance immediately speak to an attorney. You do not indicate whether there is an existing support order the facts you relate seeme to indicate not. If the mother is receiving welfare and at the same time getting money from your fiance this could be a problem. I do not understand why welfare would not be coming after your fiance for the support the mother is receiving for the children. Also receiving threats of bodily harm is a criminal offense. I would suggest your fiance speak to an attorney because there are multiple issues involved with the facts you relate and the facts are a bit sketchy.
