Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
I filed a Petition for Contempt in Ocotober. My daughter was punished had to stay home, she went to a friend's house called her mom who then took her to her house without consent and during the school week causing her to miss school. She recieved her papers for Contempt a few days later, called to ask if I was going to keep her until the court date. To which I said no. Awhile ago, she asked if she could take her on a family trip in March. I have to consent to her leaving the state and miss school. I said fine. Today she called the trip is changed to the week of the court date. I know she recieved papers and knows about the court date. I did not remind her. Do I still let my daughter go? Go to court, her not show up but have my daughter out of state? I know she knows about court.

Either tell her no, or if you agree she can go, then request that the court reschedule the hearing, letting her know you are doing so. You would have to send a letter to the court. Please call if want to discuss.
