FInancial Liability
My father recently passed away. In going through my parents affairs I found several accounts in his name only. Is my mother legally responsible for this debt?

It depends on how the accounts were structured. Also the creditor could file a claim against the estate and then the estate would be responsible for paying them.
I suggest you have an attorney handle your fathers estate.
