Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Forged Divorce Documents
My husband forged my name on our divorce documents in 2000. I had copies of the divorce decree sent to me in 2003. It states that I was served with the paperwork at an address he and I shared together after I moved. I still have all the info I need to prove I was not living at the residence at the time. My question is am I leagally divorced? We were married in Philadelphia Pa but the divorce papers were done in Cameron County PA? He is remarried and we have 4 children together with we shared custody. As of Sept 24, 2007 I've had a temporary sole custody, pending a criminal case against him for assulting me in front of our children. Please Help. I am desparate, and need advise.

Re: Forged Divorce Documents
This is too fact oriented to give an answer to your situation. If signatures were forged then it would appear the divorce is void. However you indicated a divorce decree was sent to you in 2003 and apparently you did not do anything about this since then. You must sit down and talk to an an attorney regarding that issue if you would like to to schedule a consultation with my office you may contact me.
