Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Gift or loan?

I was engaged to a man for a year and we split up due to him lying about finances and cheating on me. He spent a considerable amount of money on me while we were together, and now that we are split is saying it was all a loan and he will sue me to get his money back. I am on a very limited income and told him constantly before he made major purchases that he should be sure he really could afford to lose the money because I would never be able to pay him back, and he assured me it was a gift each time.Is this something that he can do? And what can I do to protect myself?

Re: Gift or loan?

Not much you can do protect yourself. However, unless he has something in writing how is HE going to prove it was a loan. Until he can prove that with credible evidence he's blowing hot air.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
