Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My Girlfriend of 14 yrs and her 15yr old daughter have been living with me for the past 14 yrs they went on vacation last week to visit her family and were due back friday. They didn't come home, Saturday i finally contacted her on facebook, She said they weren't coming back, over the past 14yrs we have incurred over $17000 in CC debt, and we have two vehicles that are paid four but they are listed in both our names, I Cant do anything with these vehicles unless she signs im not sure how to proceed, the cc debt should be half her responsibility even though the cards are in my name, as of yet nothing is behind but next month i will not have enough to cover more than half of what will be due don't know what to do.?

No the credit card is in your name so you are solely responsible for paying the debt.

Yes you will have problems with the cars. Funny you would jointly title vehicles but not get married. Now you have no way of forcing a property settlement.

While I am happy to advise you on a free initial basis, you have 3 options regarding your debt: 1) negotiate 2) take no action and let them try and collect 3) consider a bankruptcy. I would need to ask you some questions to determine your exact circumstances so feel free to call or e-mail to discuss this further. Distance is not an issue as most matters can be handled remotely.
