Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Grandparent rights

I have a 5 month old Grandson. My son and the mother of the child are NOT married. I saw him 2 times since birth. I would like to know if I have any visitation rights as a Grandparent. I have spoken to the mother, and when I ask her to bring him, there is 'never a good time' I will pick the baby up, if I have to. I am 53 years old, and have my daughter, 32, and my other Grandson, 11 living with me.

Re: Grandparent rights

Unless your son is unavailable, your visitation is generally through your son.

Is your son seeing his child? Does your son have a custody order?

In some situations a grandparent can petition the court for visitation directly, however if your son is available that maybe the simplist route.
