Grandparents need of help...
Grandparents given temp. legal guardianship of 15 mo old & 5 mo old by parents until 1/2008; told ''raising kids not right for them right now.'' Dad, 19 yrs, within his 1st yr in the military is stationed away. Mom, 20 yrs, shows little interest in her kids (constantly leaves town:kids w/grandparents & w/people she barely knows). Mom's 1st child (5yrs) lives w/her grandparents, who have sole custody. Both have committed adultery & dad recently filed for divorce, however trying to 'make marriage work,' mom moved states away to live w/dad & couple they each committed adultery with. Dad admits still wants new live-in ex-girlfrnd, who is now pregnant w/his baby. Very strange situation!Grandparents told not receiving any monetary support for raising kids, but after dad's sister pressing for it, mom/dad wants kids back. Through their actions, the parents aren't fit or in the state of mind to raise their children anytime soon. The only legal documentation is through child services:Mother left(forgot) about her 2mo child on porch during hot summer day for 4 hours...Neglect.
What rights do grandparents have? Can they file for custody? Any rights to keep the children in state? What do they need to make a case? Please help...

From what you stated it looks like the grand parents having standing to sue for custody.
Also they probably need to get an attorney to help them. If mom and dad will agree to give them custody then they'll need to file the correct paperwork to have it made into a court order. Otherwise they would have to file a custody petition and prevail in court.
