Guardianship

my daughter wants to have her stepfather legaly adopt her I am her paternal father she has asjed me to sign legal custody to him how does this work

If you agree with your daughter being adopted, severing the parental relationship between you, then they will provide you with a document to sign whereby you voluntarily give up your parental rigths. After signing you have 30 days to revoke it. You would have no legal rights or responsiblities associated with this child, including visitation and child support.
