Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

HelloI

I was married in PA. I'm now living in N.Y.C. I'm seperated about 5 years and have a 10 year old child and the wife still lives in PA. It's a noncontested divorce, any problem??

Re: HelloI

I do not know about PA law, however, under NY law as long as you lived in NY for over 2 years there would not be a problem filing for divorce in NY.

Re: HelloI

While the previous answer correctly suggests you can get an uncontested divorce in New York, it does not address the problems you'll need to address.

Those include child support, grounds for the divorce and health insurance. All of these must be addressed before the Court will grant a divorce.

If you'd like to arrange a consultation, please feel free to get in touch.
