Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

My husband was adopted as a child. We have 3 kids of our own. I just want to know if his adopted parents have any legal rights to our children? Thank you!

His adopted parents are nothing mother than your children's grandparents. Unless something happens they don't have any rights to your children. They can get rights if you give them to them. For example if you and your husband's will names them as guardians in the event you die before the children are 18 they would have rights. They would inherit from your husband should he die without a will and one or both of his parents are alive.

As to custody rights they would have to show they acted as the children's parents for at least 6 months. That would give them the right to be involved in a custody case. Even then they would need to prove by clear and convincing evidence that they should be granted some form of custody. There's a presumption that in custody the natural parent should prevail.
