Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Ex husband changed his first and middle name

I recently found out my ex husband changed his first and last name. I am to get a copy of this in the mail. What I am wondering is, he is still 20,000.00 behind in child support, we have 3 children, one is/was a junior, what does this mean for their birth certificates? Do I get these adjusted and if so how? He lives in Kentucky and we live in Pennsylvania, where we were married and our children were born.

Re: Ex husband changed his first and middle name

The name change will not affect his liability for the support he owes. You can change the birth certificates if you wish to reflect his new names; but it is not necessary. You should get a certified copy of the court decree which changed his name. You should make sure his name change is reflected in the support action and at PACSES.
