Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
My husband has two daughters, one 18 and the other 21. He is still paying child support (arrears) for these women. He only makes about $225 a week and they take almost half of his pay. He would like to ask for a reduction. Can he do this and how long will he have to pay. He is now 56 years old. If it were not for me, he could not make it on what they leave him.

I assume the underlying orders were vacated at age 18 or graduation from high school. They can take up to 50% of net income for support. They can continue to have him pay until the arrears are paid off. This is the penalty for incurring the arrears in the first place.
