Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

If my husband wants a divorce and I do not yet he files, do I have two years to contest it before he can get a divorce uncontested? we live in pennsylvania.

also, if he files now and i do not want to give him the divorce right now, will my costs to contest it be high during those 2 years.

Your facts do not state when you separated. the two year period starts from the day you were separated. Every case is different. it would depend on many factors such as assets to be divided posible alimony issues. Do you have minor children then there would be custody and support issues as well. the cost of the divorce depends on many issues and also to a degree the amount of time spent in negotiation beinbg in court etc. if you are able to resolve your divorce issues amicably this should cut down on costs. Litigation can only increase costs.
