If you included the grounds of 2 years separation then after 2 years you can start the final paperwork. Before you do that you need to make sure there are no financial issues that need to be settled. If there are you can force him to deal with it. You'll need a lawyer but if you really want to make him move file for APL/Spousal support. If its costing any where from 30% to 40% of the difference in incomes you get him to sign pronto. This assumes he makes more than you do.

If he won't agree then after two years from date of separation, not necessarily the date of filing for divorce, you can proceed to move the case forward. If there are assets of the marriage you will want to have the case scheduled for equitable distribution. If he's not presently paying either child support or possibly spousal support you can file immediately no need to wait.
