Since i have been married in INdia and i currently live in the US will i have to travel to india for the divorce or get it here it self. please advice.

If you or your husband has lived in pennsylvania for the requisite time required either of you can file a divorce. if you both cooperate you can file for a no fault divorce under section 3301(c) of the divorce code. However I would advise you to consult with an attorney as there is more involved then simply a divorce in many cases. ie property issues, debts, support and custody issues if there are children etc. If you would like to consult with my office do not hesitate to call to set up an appointment.
You can file for divorce in PA, if you have lived here for at least 6 months. You can certainly reach a mutual agreement on the division of any assets and/or support. Please call my office to schedule a free 1/2 consult.
