Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Joint ownership of home

I have been separated for approximately 16 months with no chance of reconciliation. My husband and I both own the home I live in with my 2 children. He will not relinquish the key to our home and enters whenever he wants without my knowledge. As he has taken things, i.e., important personal papers, from my home, I do not want him to come to my home unless I am there so that I can monitor what he is doing.

What can I legally do to stop this. Thanks for your help.

Regards,

M. Kravetz

Re: Joint ownership of home

I would recommend filing for divorce, and within the complaint, request "exclusive possession" of the marital residence. You would ahve to go to court and request that. Based on your description of the situation, your request probably would be granted. Please contact me if you want to further discuss.
