Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Judgements

My attorney filed a judgement against my ex for child support arrears of 8500 dollars. What is a judgement and what does it mean to the ex? Does it increase my chances of getting the money soon?

Re: Judgements

Your attorney should be explaining this to you. The advantage of a judgement is that if your ex owns any real estate it will show up as a lien against the property and will have to be paid before the property is sold. Make sure your attorney fully explains this to you.
