Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Jurisdiction change!

I am in a custody battle, and have a good chance on winning. If I win I will be taking my kids out of the state where their father took them and bringing them back to their home state. WHen that is done, wouldnt their home state then have jurisdiction? I am told this is NOT the case, and that the state that has jurisdiction now, will have it for years to come. That makes no sense to me

Re: Jurisdiction change!

Hello. In my opinion, if there was no court

activity or a case on file in the home state, then the state where the court battle is in progress will continue to have jurisdiction of the case. I will be happy to answer any additional questions that you might have.
