Does your mother have a Will? Regarding a power of attorney, does your mother want you to manage her assets while she is alive. There are different types of powers of attorney. Its not clear why your mother would need to execute a power of attorney.

Depending on your mother's physical condition an Advance Heath Care Directive (Living Will) is something she should execute if she hasn't already done so.

If you have any questions feel free to contact me. The initial consultation is free.
