Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Is it against the law, or considered abuse/neglect, to lock a 5 year old child in her room when she has misbehaved or for bed time? There is no bathroom connected to the bedroom so no access.

It's a lot of things. It runs the risk the parents will have to clean up if the child can't get to the bathroom.. It's dangerous if there is a fire. However, is it a violation? Probably not. That said if you gently point out the downsides to the parents they might see the light. They might not.
