Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Is it legal for a minor to sign custody papers as a witness

My question is this is it legal for a minor child approximately 14 years old to sign as a witness for custody of her step brother between the step-father and the boys mother? Are the papers void because of her signature? Do they have to make up new custody papers?

Age would be but one attack on the validity of a witness. Other attacks could be made based on relationship to the parties of the agreement or if the witness gained some right or value from the document.

That said why did they have a 14 year old sign it? Not that a 14 year old's witness is valid but if it came to court the 14 year old might have to testify.
