Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Legal responsibility of parent to 18 year old child.

My husband has an 18 year old son from his first marriage. His son recently graduated from high school. According to his divorce agreement, he was responsible for maintaining a life insurance policy on himself with his minor son as the beneficiary. Now that his son is 18 and emancipated, is he still responsible for maintaining that policy, or can he transfer the beneficiary?

Re: Legal responsibility of parent to 18 year old child.

The purpose of having the life insurance policy was to provide for child support in case of death of dad.

As there is no child support obligation then you can do what you like with it.
