Legal Rights To SSI Back Pay

I became disabled in a car accident last year.I was marrried at the time,but am now seperated.My ex says that he has a right to half of my back pay from ssi, as i was just approved, im owed back pay.My question is does he have a right to any of my ssi since I became disabled during my marrage to him, but am now seperated?

He may have a claim to some of it through the divorce proceedings. It depends upon your finances and his.
