Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Is there legal separation in the state of PA?

My husband is severly bipolar...I am in fear of my daughter and my safety.

If I leave for safety and go to NYC to stay with relatives, would that affect any of my assets.

Our home is my name only....fully paid for.

Married 9 yrs..raised my daughter....alimony?

Child support?

What rights do I have??

There is no legal separation in Pa, only physical separation. If you separate, you would have at least rights as to child support. As to alimony, there are a number of factors to consider and you did not provide enough information. You may see my website at divorceinpennsylvania.com for the factors. If you leave for NYC and also take your daughter, you would need court permission to relocate with your child to a different state, unless he agrees to the move. You would have rights to any and all property acquired during the marriage or pre-marital assets that increased in value during the marriage.
