Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

legal seperation

I am legally seperated from my wife, I am doing my taxes and told that I should invest in an ira to keep my tax payment at a minimum. Will this investment be an assest for myself or will this be divided at some point.

Re: legal separation

Hmm a legal separation from a Pennsylvania court?

There is no "legal" separation in Pennsylvania.

Now if you are living separate and apart from you spouse and you are using any marital assets to fund the IRA it should be all yours.

Hopefully it wasn't an H and R Block IRA.
