Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Legalities of Relocating

I have been a PA resident for the last 4 years. I am seperated (not legally) from my husband and we are in the process of divorce. I left him 6 months ago and (even though I have family in TX), I decided to stay in PA to give the children stability and both girls (2 years, 2 months) time with their dad. I would have stayed indefinitely but I work from home and have recently been informed that I can't rely on child support from my ex. There is no court ordered support. And, I have no family in PA-not a soul. His family does not help me and the kids, and I'm in a sinking boat on my own. We have a court date in August, but with the constant bickering and not being able to work out a child support alternative or ANYTHING, I'll be buried in debt and homeless before August comes. I am trying to grow my business and care for the children and pay for childcare and food on my own. It's not working. I must leave and be near my loving and supportive family NOW. What should I do to make this transition legal? We have a court date, is this illegal? I cannot stay here and struggle with these two kids alone. I can come back for court in August once we're settled in Houston. What is your advice?

Re: Legalities of Relocating

And there is no support order because? If I recall the filling fee is still less than $20. Further, if both parties have nothing but W-2 income there's little need for a lawyer at the support hearing. If there is other income it might be better to have a lawyer.

So go to the DRO office and file.
