Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Can I legally move out of the state of Pennsylvania with my 2 month old son?
I currently live in PA, I want to move to FL. I have family in both states, however I do not have a stable home here in PA. My ex boyfriend comes home to see my son maybe every other week for an hour. He is away at college and decided to continue to play football and not attend a closer college and give up football to spend more time with my son. He did not support me throughout my entire pregnancy and therefore I gave my son my last name. He is not on the birth certificate and he did not establish paternity. I mentioned to him about moving and he said that he would not support it and would fight me. Can I move without informing him? Is there any way he can gain custody of my son and make us return to Pennsylvania? I am not sure of the PA laws. Help!! thanks.

You can but he has 60 days to file a custody complaint which could force you to move back. Its best to file for custody and notify him of the move.
