Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

I live with my mother and step-dad and I'm extremely unhappy. I tried to move in with my father in Georgia but his girlfriend wouldn't allow it. I'm 16, living in Pennsylvania, and i don't have a license or job; but i could get a job if i wanted one. Here's my situation: my step-dad is very creepy. He always makes inappropriate jokes about me and my body. Every time I ask for something he replies with something like "Can I have a blow job?" and he is always trying to smack my butt. I feel really uncomfortable and i tell my mother but she just tries to pretend it's not happening. We move every few months or every year; all over the country. The only place I've ever settled in and felt at home was Colorado and they took me away from it. It's not a healthy environment for a child too feel sexually harassed by her own step-dad and completely uprooted from her home to be taking all over the place. I have to move schools, make new friends, and completely restart my life. I have plenty of people in Colorado who have said I can live with them if ever need be. So my question is: Can I get emancipated and move back to Colorado on these grounds?

I am so sorry that you are going through this dear. You can petition the court to be emancipated. Try to have as much proof/witnesses of the conditions you are in. It's a rough world out there and it won't be easy for you to be on your own. I think you need to talk with your father about everything you are going through and not take no for an answer (especially as far as the girlfriend is concerned). If you choose to go through with the emancipation, make sure you try to get child support since your parents are basically making you resort to being on your own. It's worth

a shot. Good luck and take care.
