Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

We live in PA. Our son and his girlfriend have a 14 month old daughter. We recently found out that they are both IV heroin users. They use daily. Is there a way that we as the grandparents can have our granddaughter live with us until they get clean from the drug?

Thank you for your question.

You will have to file a Petition for Temporary custody with the Court and explain the reasons. At the hearing, you will elaborate on those reasons and explain that it is "in the best interests of the child" to have the Court grant you custody or at least temporary custody, until the child's parents get the help that they need.
