Do you have a custody agreement with the father? Who has primary custody? What does the custody agreement, if any, say? If you are just occasionally bringing the child to work with you, no, I do not think that notice need be given. Most custody agreements are concerned with you taking the child OUT of state or relocating to another state with the child. If you do not have an agreement, where has the child lived primarily on a daily basis for the last 6 months? That is the home state of the child if there are no custody orders. In that case, I would urge you to either get a custody agreement or seek out counsel and bring a custody action.
