Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
I live in Pennsylvania. My child's mother and I were never married. We recently split, and have decided to have 50/50 custody of him, while I pay her $50 per week to support the child. If I get a notarized contract between the two of us saying this is the case, and then later on down the road we eventually do end up going to domestics, will I be liable for back pay of child support even though I have been paying her the whole time and documented every payment?

Child support is only retroactive 1)when a party fails to comply with an active order to provide income and expense information to the other party. 2) If she were to file you could stop the direct payments and then pay the amount that is retro active to the filing of the petition.
