Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania
Lying Lawyer
My ex is dragging out a custody case for 2 years now. After a year of nothing my lawyer recieved paperwork from the other attorney. I was not contacted nor was the information forwarded. However my attorney repeatedly told opposing counsel that I would not contact them. Prior to the paperwork being recieved I had been trying to contact my lawyer regarding a bill I was unsure about. I left Voicemail, email and even a certified letter, but got no response. Now my attorney has filed a Petition of counsel for right to withdraw with the only reason being that I did not responde to any messages or letters or phone calls. I have verification that I had repeated tried to contact her office. After speaking with her secretary, I have found she has no records or verifications. While I don't care if she withdraws representation, I don't want her to represent me, I do not want the inaccurate reasoning in the documentation. I plan on sending my documentation to the judge to ask for denial but I am not sure if there is a format I must follow or some sort of form I must fill out.

Re: Lying Lawyer
There are always two sides to every issue, although not every side is right. Sometimes, both are right in part and wrong in part.
When you are having difficulty with an attorney, it is best to consider other counsel. Some clients are hard to deal with, but some attorneys are not very good at what they do.
You need someone who communicates with you, responds to phone calls, e-mails and letters and you should never have to send a certified letter to contact your attorney.
